Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Sulfadiazine base 200 mg
Trimethoprim 40 mg
Indications:
This preparation is one of sulfamides compounds active against gram negative and positive bacteria. It can be used by I. M., slow I. V., subcutaneous injection in cases of acute and chronic bacterial infections also we can use it in respiratory infection, septicemia, intestinal infection and urogenital tract infection.
Dosage&Usage:
For i. m. & slow i. v. & s. c. injection:
Horses, cows, and sheep: 1ml /16kg body weight.
Cats and dogs (s. c.): 1ml /8kg body weight.
More Informations:
Contraindications:Sensitivity to sulfa compounds, renal infections and failure.
Side effects: The prolonged use of sulfa compounds causes damage for the intestinal flora therefore it is recommended to use for a short period. Anemia, leukopenia and thrombopenia. Medical interactions: It must not be given with calcium compounds or yeast extracts.
Withdrawal period: For meat: 5 days, for milk: 3 days.
